Based on the 2007 Esquire article “Tonight on Dateline This Man Will Die” by Luke Dittrich, the film follows the production of the reality television series “To Catch a Predator,” with Pattinson playing Chris Hansen. The film had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival, where it received positive reviews for its performances and Oppenheim’s direction. What did we think?
