“Sense And Sensibility” is a 2026 period romantic drama film directed by Georgia Oakley from a screenplay by Diana Reid. It is based on Jane Austen’s 1811 novel that follows three sisters’ experiences of love and heartbreak after they’re forced to leave their family estate with their widowed mother and move to a humble cottage. The film stars Daisy Edgar-Jones as Elinor Dashwood, Esmé Creed-Miles as Marianne Dashwood, Caitríona Balfe as Mrs. Dashwood, Frank Dillane as John Willoughby, Herbert Nordrum as Colonel Brandon, George MacKay as Edward Ferrars, and Fiona Shaw as Mrs. Jennings. Daisy Edgar-Jones was kind enough to spend some time talking with me while Nadia Dalimonte spoke with Oakley about their work and experiences making the film, which you can watch or listen to below. Please be sure to check out the film, which is now playing in theaters from Focus Features. Thank you, and enjoy!
