“Romería” is a 2025 drama film written and directed by Carla Simón. It stars Llúcia Garcia as Marina, a young woman seeking the truth about her deceased biological father. The plot consists of a fictionalized account of Simón’s own experiences. The film premiered at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, where it competed for the Palme D’Or and received positive reviews from critics for its direction, lead performance from Llúcia Garcia, editing, and cinematography.
