The 2026 Venice Film Festival Adds A New Film To Its Competition Lineup: “NAZA”

A new title has been added to complete the Competition section of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival of La Biennale di Venezia (September 2nd – 12th 2026).

The film is “NAZA,” a new work by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, two of the four co-directors of the 2025 Oscar-winning documentary “No Other Land.” The Guardian produced it, with James Wilson (JW Films) and Jonathan Glazer (executive producer). Wilson and Glazer are the Oscar-winning team behind “The Zone of Interest.”

“NAZA” will be screened in the Sala Grande (Palazzo del Cinema) on September 10th at 5.15 pm, in the presence of the directors, the producers, Guardian journalists and the official delegation.

Synopsis: “Shot at night on the rooftops of Tel Aviv, the film reveals in detail the systems behind Israel’s calculated mass killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza.”

Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor join nine other directors (across 21 films) making their debut in the Venice Film Festival’s Competition, alongside Casey Affleck, Alì Asgari, Danny Boyle, May el-Toukhy, Cédric Kahn, Ilya Khrzhanovsky, Lance Oppenheim, Nicolas Pariser, and Paolo Strippoli.
