Over the next few weeks, you’ll see an increased presence from Next Best Picture speaking about the Emmy race and contributing podcast discussions and interviews towards the television awards season. You can expect a new Next Best Series episode every two weeks, and we’ll be bringing on some new members to cover the race. Submissions opened up for television shows to submit for Emmy consideration starting February 20th. The entry eligibility period is for any show aired from June 1st, 2024 – May 31st, 2025. Below are some of the key dates to keep in mind as we move forward with the rest of the season.
APRIL
4/4 – Entry deadline for Engineering, Science & Technology Emmy Awards.
4/8 – Deadline to apply for membership to guarantee voting eligibility for both rounds of the 77th Emmy competition and to secure member entry fee discount. Application(s) must be completed and paid for by this date.
4/8 – Deadline for current voting members to apply for hyphenate voting status and for Associate members to apply to switch to Active voting membership.
MAY
5/7 – Deadline for lapsed members to apply to reinstate their membership to guarantee voting eligibility for both rounds of the 77th Emmy competition and to secure member entry fee discount. Application(s) must be completed and paid for by this date.
5/8 – Entry deadline for programs that identify as Primetime programming by virtue of genre and were originally presented June 1, 2024 – May 31, 2025.
5/8 – Upload deadline for all entry materials.
5/15 – Astra TV Award Nominations
JUNE
6/11 – Astra TV Awards
6/12 – Nominations-round voting begins.
6/23 – Nominations-round voting ends (10pm).
JULY
7/15 – Nominations announced.
7/29 – Deadline for errors and omissions to the nominations.
AUGUST
8/11 – Final-round videos available for viewing.
8/18 –Â Final-round voting begins.
8/23 – AAFCA TV Honors
8/27 – Final-round voting ends (10pm).
SEPTEMBER
9/6 – Night One 2025 Creative Arts Emmy Awards and Governors Gala
9/7 – Night Two 2025 Creative Arts Emmy Awards and Governors Gala
9/14 – 77th Emmy Awards CBS Telecast and Governors Gala
OCTOBER
10/14 – 77th Engineering, Science & Technology Emmy Awards
